RENTAL CARS
If a driver's air bag module must be replaced, Ford will pay for a rental vehicle except for fuel and insurance, which will be at the owner's expense.
Follow Extended Service Plan (ESP) guidelines for rental dollar amounts. Enter the word "RENTAL" plus the number of days the vehicle was used in
the Miscellaneous Expense area of the recall claim.

Parts will not be direct shipped for this recall. Since there are only 911 vehicles involved, dealers must call the Special Service Support Center at
1-800-325-5621 to order a new driver's air bag module. To ensure the correct air bag module will be shipped to you, when calling, be prepared to
provide the affected VIN, inflator serial number, located on the back of the driver's air bag module inflator, and the air bag module part number, located
on the back of the air bag module. This process will remain in effect for the duration of this recall.

OVERVIEW
This document outlines the procedure for inspecting the 4th, 5th and 6th characters of the inflator serial number stamped on the inflator which is located
on the back of the driver's airbag module. If the characters match those listed, the airbag module must be replaced.

TO AVOID POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY IN THE CASE OF ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT, DO NOT PLACE THE AIRBAG MODULE
ON ANY SURFACE WITH THE TRIM COVER FACING DOWN.
