Child Seat Tether Attachment: Description and Operation

Ford recommends placement of a tethered child safety seat in a rear seating position with the tether strap attached to either of the two tether anchoring
points.

All vehicles built for sale in Canada include a tether anchorage hardware kit for use with child safety seats. Attachment holes (at each rear seating
position) have been provided in the vehicle to attach the anchor hardware, if required. Additional kits can be obtained at no charge from any
authorized Ford dealer.

Read instructions carefully prior to installation of the tether anchor kit. Some manufacturers make child safety seats with a tether strap that goes over
the back of the vehicle seat and attaches to an anchoring point behind the vehicle seat.
