Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair
Convertible
NOTE: Attaching the child seat tether strap to the anchor hardware can only be done with the convertible top in the full-up position.
1. From inside the luggage compartment, locate the rigid luggage compartment front lining board behind the rear seat back.
2. Gently push forward either the right or left hand side of the luggage compartment front lining board to expose either of the two 9 mm (0.35 inch)
tether anchorage clearance holes and 8 mm (0.31 inch) threaded weld nuts provided in the luggage compartment floor just forward and inboard of
each rear wheel well.
WARNING: Use only the tether attachment hole locations. The tether anchorage will not perform properly if the wrong mounting
location is used.
3. Gently push forward the bottom of the luggage compartment front lining board and hold in this position to allow installation of the tether anchor
(as shown in the illustration).
4. Remove any existing sealer from the tether hole in the floor.
