4. Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.
Installation
1. Note: The thermostat is indexed and must be returned to the original location.
Note: Coat the new thermostat gasket with Gasket and Trim Adhesive F3AZ-19B508-AA meeting Ford specification ESE-M2G52-A.
Note: Make sure the new O-ring gasket is secure around the thermostat.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Fill the cooling system.
