Remove the scuff plate.

Remove the rear backrest cushion.

5.

Remove the front safety belt lower anchor bolt. See Figure 12.

Remove the upper speaker cover and slot trim cover. See Figure 12.

7.

Remove the quarter trim panel pushpins and remove the panel. See Figure 12.

8.

Remove the retainers from the safety belt retractor and remove the safety belt retractor. See Figure 13.

9.

Install the new safety belt retractor. Tighten the retractor retainers to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

10.

Install the quarter trim panel. Route the front seat safety belt through the trim panel before final installation.

11.

Install the upper speaker cover and slot trim cover.
