Steering Column Lock: Service and Repair
Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder
Functional Lock Cylinder
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder (11582).
1. Insert the ignition key and turn to the RUN position.
2. Using a 1/8-inch drift, press the ignition switch lock cylinder release pin through the access hole while pulling out the ignition switch lock
cylinder.
Installation
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Removal

WARNING: After deployment, the air bag surface can contain deposits of sodium hydroxide, a product of the gas generant combustion that
