Inner Spacer
7. Insert inner spacer into piston bore.
8. Place parking brake lever pin retainer clip inside of inner spacer.
9. Position spring compressor and screw and cross-block on push rod and lightly screw tool clockwise to compress spring. Install snap ring (circlip).
CAUTION: Parking brake lever pin retainer clip should click into place. Do not over-compress spring.
10. Install new piston seal in groove in rear disc brake caliper after lubricating seal with High Performance DOT-3 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid
C6AZ-19542-AB or DOT-3 equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A.
11. Coat rear disc brake piston and adjuster and piston dust boot with clean High Performance DOT-3 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid C6AZ-19542-AB or
DOT-3 equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A. Install dust boot into piston bore of rear disc brake caliper. Spread dust boot over
rear disc brake piston and adjuster and seat dust boot in piston groove. Rotate rear disc brake piston and adjuster clockwise using Rear Caliper
Piston Adjuster 206-026 until piston is fully seated.
