Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
NOTE: If pushpins are removed from component parts, replace with new pushpins.
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Disconnect evaporative emission hose pushpin or pins (depending on application) from front fender apron.
3. Remove bolts at front fender apron and partially lower evaporative emissions canister.
4. Disconnect evaporative emission hose and fuel and vapor return tube from evaporative emission canister.
5. Remove bolt and remove evaporative emission canister from evaporative emissions canister.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten canister-to-canister bracket bolt to 5.2-7.2 Nm (46-63 lb-in) and canister bracket bolts to 8.6-10.4 Nm (77-92 lb-in).
