Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove fuel tank filler cap, strap and three fuel tank filler pipe retaining bolts inside filler door.
2. Drain fuel from fuel tank.
3. Raise vehicle.
4. Remove retaining screw from the fuel tank filler pipe retainer.
5. For enhanced evaporative emission equipped vehicles, disconnect the evaporative emission valve assembly signal tube connection and the fuel
filler pipe signal tube connection at the fuel filler pipe signal tube.
6. Disconnect the clamp at the filler pipe connecting vent hose to the filler pipe vent tube.
7. Slide the fuel tank filler pipe into the fuel tank until enough clearance with the fender is gained to allow the fuel tank filler pipe to be rotated.
8. Rotate the fuel tank filler pipe and remove the fuel tank filler pipe.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten fuel tank filler pipe retaining bolts to 7.3-9.0 Nm (65-79 lb-in).
