Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments
Brake Pedal Height
1. With the engine running for full power brake operation and the parking brake control fully released, measure the brake pedal free height.
2. Insert a slender, sharp-pointed prod through the carpet and sound deadener to the dash panel metal. Measure the distance to the top of the brake
pedal pad on side of brake pedal pad nearest to accelerator pedal.
NOTE:

Dimension A to be measured to sheet metal from center of pad nearest accelerator pedal.

Dimension B to be measured parallel to the vertical center line of the steering column with a 111 N (25 lbs.) load applied to the center line
of the brake pedal pad. (Checks on power brake vehicles made with engine running.)
