6. Remove the front safety belt retractor and tongue.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the front safety belt retractor and tongue.
2. Install the retractor retaining bolt. Tighten to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb-Ft).
3. Insert safety belt through the slot in the quarter trim panel.
4. Install the upper and lower quarter trim panel.
5. Put a one-half twist in the safety belt webbing (clockwise on RH belt and counter-clockwise on LH belt).
6. Install the safety belt anchor-to-sill retaining bolt and washer. Tighten to 34-46 N-m (25-33 Lb-Ft).
7. Cycle the system several times to make sure of proper operation of front safety belt retractor and tongue. Make sure belt is not twisted after cycling
the system.
8. Install rear seat back cushions and rear seat cushion.
Convertible
REMOVAL
1. Position safety belt sill retractor trim cover out of the way.
2. Remove safety belt anchor-to-sill bolt and rubber washer.
3. Remove lower seat cushion and rear seat back cushion.
4. Remove quarter trim panel and unthread safety belt from slot in quarter trim panel.
5. Remove retractor retaining bolt.
6. Remove front safety belt retractor and tongue.
7. Remove two bolts and one nut retaining upper front safety belt retractor bracket to quarter panel and remove bracket (if necessary).
INSTALLATION
1. Install front safety belt retractor bracket, two bolts and one nut to quarter panel.
2. Position front safety belt retractor and tongue. Make sure safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
3. Install retractor retaining bolt. Tighten bolt to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb-Ft).
4. Thread safety belt through slot in quarter trim panel. Install quarter trim panel.
5. Install lower seat cushion and rear seat back cushion.
6. Install rubber washer and safety belt anchor-to-sill bolt. Tighten bolt to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb-Ft).
7. Position safety belt sill retractor trim cover in installed position.
8. Check the restraint system for proper operation and perform a Functional Test Procedure.
