Seat Belt Retractor: Service and Repair
Rear Seat Belt, Retractor and Tongue
Convertible
REMOVAL
1. Remove rear seat cushion.
2. Remove rear safety belt front anchor bolt from front floor pan.
3. Remove luggage compartment front lining board.
4. Remove rear safety belt retractor bolt.
5. Remove safety belt anchor end through the seat back boot and remove rear safety belt retractor and tongue through luggage compartment.
INSTALLATION
1. Position rear safety belt retractor and tongue in luggage compartment. Make sure webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
2. Insert safety belt anchor end through the seat back boot. Make sure locating tabs on safety belt webbing guide are located in holes in webbing
guide bracket.
3. Install rear safety belt retractor bolt. Tighten bolt to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb ft).
4. Install luggage compartment front lining board.
5. Install rear safety belt front anchor bolts to front floor pan. Tighten bolts to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb-Ft).
6. Install rear seat cushion.
7. Check restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure.
