Steering Gear: Testing and Inspection
The power rack and pinion steering gear is installed onto the crossmember with steering gear insulators. The power rack and pinion steering gear may
move slightly when the steering gear is turned. If movement is more than 1.5 mm (0.060 inch) replace the steering gear insulators. If movement of the
mounting sleeve is evident check the torque of the retaining bolts.
