Cleaning
The power rack and pinion steering gear is cleaned as follows:

Use a clean work bench and tools

Clean the exterior of the power rack and pinion steering gear with solvent. If necessary, drain off excess hydraulic fluid

Handle the parts carefully to avoid nicks, burrs, scratches and dirt. Do not use solvent on seals
