Pilot Bearing: Testing and Inspection
Cleaning and Inspection - Needle Type

1. Inspect the pilot bearing assembly for misalignment and press fit condition in crankshaft.
2. Visibly inspect the input shaft bushing surfaces (needle rollers and transmission input shaft for scoring, worn or broken rollers, inadequate grease

and discoloration due to heating.

3. Check bearing's seal condition. There should be no visible grease leakage on the main drive gear bearing retainer or crankshaft.
