Axle Bearing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Special Tool
1. Remove axle shaft.
2. Insert Rear Axle Bearing Remover 205-219 (T85L-1225-AH) in bore and position it behind rear wheel bearing so tangs on tool engage bearing
outer race. Remove rear wheel bearing and inner wheel bearing oil seal as a unit using Impact Slide Hammer 100-001 (T50T-100-A).
3. Lubricate the new rear wheel bearing with SAE 80W-90 Premium Rear Axle Lubricant XY-80W90-KL or QL or equivalent meeting Ford
specification WSP-MC197-A.
