Shifter M/T: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove gearshift lever knob by rotating counterclockwise.
2. Remove console panel gear shift plate and lift gearshift lever boot over gearshift lever.
3. Remove two bolts retaining gearshift lever to transmission.
INSTALLATION
1. CAUTION: Gearshift lever must only be installed in one direction (from LH side of the gearshift lever).
Install the two bolts retaining the gearshift lever to transmission. Tighten to 26-35 Nm (20-25 ft. lbs.).
2. Install console panel gear shift plate and gearshift lever boot.
3. Install gearshift lever knob by rotating clockwise until required installation torque increases, then turn gearshift lever knob to align graphics.
