Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
Front Rotor Assemblies.
The front wheels are attached to the front hub and rotor assemblies. The front hub and rotor assemblies are supported by one-piece roller bearings
mounted in the steering knuckle. The wheel bearing is pressed into the steering knuckle. The hub assembly is pressed into the wheel bearing during
assembly.
For easier service, the rotor unbolts from the hub, and the steering knuckle can be easily removed from the strut.
REMOVAL
Removing Staking Nut.
1. Remove the wheel.
2. Carefully raise the staked portion of the halfshaft attaching nut using a small cape chisel.
