Probe V6-153 2.5L DOHC (1994)
IN ADDITION, WHEN PLACING A LIVE AIR BAG ON A BENCH OR OTHER SURFACE, ALWAYS FACE THE BAG AND TRIM
COVER UP, AWAY FROM THE SURFACE. THIS WILL REDUCE THE MOTION OF THE MODULE IF IT IS ACCIDENTALLY
DEPLOYED.
Installation
1. Insert the passenger side air bag module into the instrument panel, making certain the guide pins insert into the guide holes. The tab on the module
must insert into the clip in the instrument panel.
NOTE: Make certain the wiring harness is not pinched between the passenger side air bag module and the instrument panel pad.
2. Secure the passenger side air bag module with the four bolts removed during the removal procedure. lighten the passenger side air bag module
bolts to 2.7-3.7 Nm (23-33 lb-in).
3. Connect the passenger side air bag module electrical connectors.
4. Insert the pin on the connector into the hole on the back of the passenger side air bag module.
NOTE: Connect all connectors securely.
5. Install the glove compartment cover and glove compartment.
6. Connect the diagnostic module connector.
7. Connect the battery ground cable.
8. Verify that the air bag warning indicator is operative.
