Seat Belt Retractor: Service and Repair
Rear Seats

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Slide the front seat forward.

3. Depress the two clips securing the front of the rear seat cushion and cover to the floor.
4. Route the rear safety belts through the rear seat cushion and cover.
5. Remove the rear seat cushion and cover.
6. Position the rear seat back cover and cushion out of the way.
7. Remove the RH luggage compartment side cover or LH luggage compartment side cover. 
8. Remove the RH quarter trim panel or LH quarter trim panel.

9. Remove the floor anchor bolt from the rear seat back pivot.

10. Remove the two anchor bolts from the retractor.
11. Remove the rear safety belt retractor and tongue from the vehicle.

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten all anchor bolts to 38-78 Nm (28-58 lb-ft).
