(G) Color Compatible Spray Primer Chart
Ford has released color compatible spray primers for exterior and some interior surfaces.
Colored sprayed primers are being used by our "Best-in-Class" competition and are now being implemented at Ford in order to improve process
capability and to help in minimizing unsightly paint chipping from stone abrasion. Color keyed (matched) spray primer for exterior body colors is being
used in an effort to help in the elimination of unsightly paint chipping from stone abrasion.
As with "Best-In-Class" competition, the engine compartment will be left with color compatible primer only and not be topcoated as per past practice.
