REMOVAL
1.
Remove approximately 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Remove wheel and tire assembly.
4.
Using a screwdriver, pry caliper outboard.
5.
Remove caliper mounting bolt, Fig. 8, then slide caliper upward.
6.
Slide caliper off guide pin, then tag anti-rattle shims so shims can be reinstalled in their original position.
7.
Remove brake pads from caliper anchor.
8.
Remove retaining clips from brake pads.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install retaining clips on brake pads.
2.
Install brake pads into caliper anchor.
3.
Install caliper onto guide pin and pivot caliper down over brake pads.
4.
Install caliper mounting bolt and torque to specification, Fig. 8.
5.
Install wheel and tire assembly and torque lug nuts to specification.
6.
Pump brake pedal several times to seat brake pads.
