Probe V6-182 3.0L (1990)
CONNECTOR/PIN REPAIR OR RELAY REPLACEMENT
If the vehicle has an electrical concern related to wire short circuiting or corrosion that requires a connector/pin repair or a relay replacement, perform
the following procedure.

Inspect the wiring and connector for corrosion damage. Repair the wiring as needed.
a.
Use a small brush and/or compressed air to clean and remove corrosion or water from the connector.
b.
If required, use an electric contact cleaner. Refer to the 1991 Probe Shop Manual, Page 18-00-3, for connector and wire/terminal removal
procedure, Figure 2.
NOTE:
PLASTIC ELECTRICAL WIRE CONNECTORS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE PARTS SYSTEM.

If the wire terminal and/or connector can not be reused, install a butt splice connector as described in TSB 89-17-8. See Figure 3.
