Probe V6-182 3.0L (1990)
A high cold idle rpm condition may exist after Emissions Recall 91E08 has been performed on certain 1990 Probe LX model vehicles. This occurs
because of the powertrain control module program. condition on these models.
ACTION:
Install a revised powertrain control module. Refer to the 1991 Probe Service Manual, Section 18-00, for installation details. (Similar concerns have also
been identified on certain 1991 Probe LX models. A revised module will also resolve the condition on these models.)
Obtain an Authorized Modifications Decal and list the date, dealer number, and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to
the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it
with a clear plastic decal shield.

This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to correct the material description of the engine mounts and lower radiator mounts. In addition, a step
has been included to inspect the position of the upper radiator hose clamp tips.
ISSUE:
A vibration felt in the steering wheel and driver's seat or a "whining" noise may occur when the engine idle speed is about 700 RPM. These
conditions happen when the automatic transmission is in the "Drive" range and after the engine has warmed up. They are caused by the
position and isolating qualities of the engine and lower radiator mounts.
ACTION:
Make sure the idle speed is to specification. Install new lower radiator mounts and new number 1 & 2 engine mounts that are made from
