Emissions Recall 92E21 - Throttle Position Sensor Replacement on Certain 1990 and 1991 - Model 3.0L Engine Equipped Probe Cars
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1990 and 1991-Model 49-States and California 3.0L engine equipped Probe cars manufactured through November 30, 1990.
REASONS FOR RECALL
The affected cars were manufactured with throttle position sensors that can wear out prematurely causing an interruption of the sensor signal and
illumination of the malfunction indicator light.
SERVICE ACTION
Cars returned for service will have throttle position sensors inspected and, if necessary, replaced and Authorized Modifications decals attached.
