The ball joints on this vehicle are not serviceable parts. Only the dust boots are replaceable.
1.
Remove lower control arm as outlined elsewhere in this section.
2.
Place control arm in a vise.
3.
Remove dust boot with a chisel, Fig. 6. Use caution not to damage ball joint.
4.
Liberally coat inside of new dust boot with lubricant C1AZ-19590-B or equivalent.
5.
Install dust boot with dust boot installer tool No. T88C-5493-AH or equivalent, Fig. 7.
6.
Install lower control arm.
