8. Check the bearing end play.
a. Make sure the parking brake is fully released.
b. Rotate the brake drum to make sure there is no brake drag.
c. Using a dial indicator, D78P-4201-B or equivalent, check the wheel bearing end play. End play should not exceed 0.2mm (0.008 inch)
d. If end play exceeds specifications, replace wheel bearing.
9. Stake the attaching nut using a cold chisel with the cutting edge rounded as shown.
CAUTION: If the nut splits or cracks after staking, it must be replaced with a new nut.
10. Install grease cap.
11. Install wheel and tire assembly.
