Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the radiator splash-shield.
  1. Drain the cooling system.
    For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this section.
  1. Remove the engine cooling fan and shroud assembly.
    For additional information, refer to Motor-Fan in this section.
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Support the air conditioning condenser.

  1. Disconnect the radiator expansion tank hose.

  1. Disconnect the radiator inlet hose.
  1. Raise the vehicle.

  1. Remove the radiator lower hoses.
    1. Remove the outlet hose to the thermostat.
    1. Remove the inlet hose to the expansion tank.

  1. Detach the air conditioning condenser from the radiator.

  1. Remove the left-hand side wiring harness cable tie.

  1. Remove the left-hand side radiator support bracket retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the right-hand side wiring harness cable tie.

  1. Remove the right-hand side radiator support bracket retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the radiator.
    1. Disengage the radiator from the top mount.
    1. Disengage the radiator from the air conditioning condenser.
    1. Remove the radiator.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Refill the cooling system.
