Installation

Mainshaft Holder

1. Install the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

Transmission mount rubber

Crossmember

Front pipe bracket

Neutral switch connector

Back-up light switch connector

Vehicle speed sensor connector

Clutch release cylinder

Change seat

Shift lever

Change bush

Wave washer

Gasket

Dust boot

Boot

Change boot upper plate

Dust boot

Console (regular cab) or boot panel (except regular cab)

Shift lever knob

Install the propeller shaft.
For additional information, refer to: Driveshaft - 4x2 (205-01 Driveshaft, Removal and Installation).

Connect the negative battery cable.
For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

Installation Details

NOTE:Slowly rotate the SST to engage the clutch with the main drive gear spline, and install the transmission

Install the SST to the main shaft.
