Disconnect the negative battery cable. For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

Removal Details

Item 3 : Socket

While pressing a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver against the cap projection, pull the socket outward.

Item 4 : Ring

Pull the ring outward while pressing the tabs.
