Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  1. Console.

  1. Audio unit. For additional information, refer to: (415-01 Audio Unit)

  1. Center panel.

  1. Glove compartment.

  1. Climate control unit.

  1. Driver-side air bag module.

  1. Column cover.

  1. Clockspring.

  1. Combination switch.

  1. Meter hood.

  1. Lower panel.

  1. Rear scuff plate.

  1. Front scuff plate

  1. Front side trim

  1. Bonnet release lever.

  1. Fuel-filler lid opener.

  1. Roof side trim.

  1. Rear seat back (Double cab)

  1. C-pillar trim.

  1. B-pillar lower trim (Double cab).

  1. Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt. For additional information, refer to: (501-20A Safety Belt System)
    Front Safety Belt Buckle (Removal and Installation),
    Safety Belt Shoulder Height Adjuster (Removal and Installation).
  1. B-pillar upper trim (Double cab).

  1. B-pillar trim (Regular cab).

  1. A-pillar trim.

  1. Fuse block.
  1. Passenger air bag module.

  1. Disconnect the switch connector, cigarette lighter connector, accessory socket connector, and the glove compartment illumination.
  1. Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.
  1. Remove the components in the following order.
    1. Bolt.
    1. Bolt.
    1. Dashboard.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
