Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

  1. Remove the components in the following order.
    1. Cap.
    1. Nut.
    1. Windshield wiper arm.
    1. Rubber brush.
    1. Windshield wiper blade.
  1. Remove the weatherstrip.

  1. Remove the screws.

  1. Pull the windshield garnish upward, then disengage hook A from the cowl grille.
  1. Remove the cowl grille.

  1. Remove the windshield wiper motor.
    For additional information, refer to: Windshield Wiper Motor (501-16 Wipers and Washers, Removal and Installation).

  1. Remove the components in the following order.
    1. Bolt.
    1. Windshield wiper link.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Adjust the windshield wiper arm and blade.
