Swing intermediate shaft up over flats on column lower tube, as shown in Figure 11.

Install new cross bolt, (M10-1.5x44) so that bolt passes across the flat on the column tube, and the square shank of the bolt seats in the square hole
in the intermediate shaft yoke.
NOTE:
Bolt does not go through the old cross holes in the column tube.

Install nut (M10x1.5 prevailing torque) to crossbolt and torque to 19-28 ft.lbs.

Rotate steering wheel and check clearance of upper end of intermediate shaft to surrounding components, such as clutch tube, brake lines, wiring,
etc. If any of these components are within 1.0" of the shaft, they should be moved and held out of the way with plastic tie straps.
