6. Remove the ECS bracket.

Remove the retaining screws.

Remove the ECS bracket.
7. Remove the ECS.

Disconnect the ECS electrical connector locking clip.

Disconnect the ECS electrical connector.

Remove the retaining screws.
4
Remove the ECS module.
Installation
WARNING: THE TIGHTENING TORQUE OF THE AIR BAG ELECTRONIC CRASH SENSOR (ECS) MODULE RETAINING SCREWS
IS CRITICAL FOR PROPER SYSTEM OPERATION.
NOTE:

Make sure to tighten the retaining bolts to specification.

A repair is made by replacement only. If a part is replaced and the new part does not correct the condition, install the original part and perform the
diagnostic procedure again.
