Band Apply Servo: Service and Repair
Overdrive Servo - Replacement

Special Tools

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the shift cable.

1. Disconnect the shift cable from the manual control lever.
2. Remove the shift cable from the bracket.

4. Remove the digital Transmission Range (TR) sensor.
5. Remove the main control valve body.

6. Remove the overdrive band locknut and unscrew the overdrive band adjusting screw.

Discard the overdrive band locknut after removal.

7. Remove the Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC).
