Ignition OFF.
-
Disconnect: Negative Battery Cable.
-
Disconnect: Suspect Door Ajar Switch.
-
Measure the resistance between the suspect door ajar switch, harness side and ground as follows:

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to C3.
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

C3 CHECK THE DOOR AJAR SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Disconnect: SJB C2280c (LH Front) or C2280d (All Other Doors).

Measure the resistance between the inoperative door ajar switch and the SJB as follows:

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to C4.
No
REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.

C4 CHECK THE DOOR AJAR SWITCH

Measure the resistance between the suspect door ajar switch pin 1, component side and the suspect door ajar switch pin 2, component side while
toggling the switch open and closed.
