E2 CHECK CIRCUIT CLN27 (WH/BN) FOR AN OPEN

-

Ignition OFF.

-

Disconnect: SJB C2280d.

-

Measure the resistance between the instrument panel dimmer switch C2065-2, circuit CLN27 (WH/BN), harness side and the SJB C2280d-10,
circuit CLN27 (WH/BN), harness side.

-

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes

GO to E5.

No

REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

E3 CHECK THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DIMMER SWITCH

Connect a fused jumper wire between the instrument panel dimmer switch C2065-2, circuit CLN27 (WH/BN), harness side and the instrument
panel dimmer switch C2065-4, circuit GD161 (BK/YE), harness side.

Do the interior lamps illuminate?

Yes

REMOVE the jumper wire. INSTALL a new instrument panel dimmer switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

No

REMOVE the jumper wire. GO to E4.

E4 CHECK CIRCUIT GD161 (BK/YE) FOR AN OPEN

-

Measure the resistance between the instrument panel dimmer switch C2065-4, circuit GD161 (BK/YE), harness side and ground.
