TRANSMISSION SUPPORT CROSSMEMBER

Transmission Support Crossmember

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts from the transmission support crossmember. Discard the nuts.

To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

3. NOTE:  Do not allow the transmission to hang freely.

Support the transmission with a suitable jack.

4. NOTE:  Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) transmission support crossmember shown, Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) transmission support crossmember

similar.

Remove the transmission support crossmember.
1. Remove the 2 horizontal transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (1 each side).
