Ranger 2WD L4-2.3L (2009)
Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. NOTE: To maintain initial driveshaft balance, mark the rear driveshaft yoke and axle flange so they can be installed in their original alignment.
Mark the rear driveshaft.
3. Remove the 4 rear driveshaft bolts.
4. NOTE: Do not use a hammer.
Remove the rear driveshaft from the flange using a pry bar.
5. Using the Torque Converter Fluid Seal Remover and the Slide Hammer, remove the extension housing seal.
