LIGHT TRUCK:
1989-90 BRONCO II
ISSUE:
A driveline vibration or the appearance of grease along the driveline may be caused by an incorrect pinion to driveline angle. The rear CV
joint boot may deteriorate and eventually cause the CV joint to fail.
ACTION:
Install a 2~ shim-spacer on both sides of the truck between the rear axle spring seat and the leaf spring. Refer to the following procedure
for service details.
1.
Support the truck on a frame hoist.
2.
Loosen the rear U-bolts until the shim spacer can be inserted between the spring and the spring seat.

Insert the shim spacer with the thick end pointing to the front of the truck, Figure 1.
4.
Tighten the U-bolt nuts to 65-75 lb.ft. (88-102 N-m).
