Rear Antilock Brakes (RABS)

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and plug the front brake hose (2078) rear brake tube connected to the anti-lock brake control module.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness to the anti-lock brake control module.
3. Remove the screw retaining the anti-lock brake control module to the frame and remove the anti-lock brake control module.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the anti-lock brake control module on the frame. Install the screw and tighten to 15-20 Nm (10-15 ft lb).
2. Connect the brake wiring harness connector.
CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the fittings.
3. Connect the front brake hose and rear brake tube to the anti-lock brake control module and tighten as follows:
a. 1/2-20 threaded fittings use 14-23 Nm (10-17 ft lb).
b. 7/16-24 threaded fittings use 14-20 Nm (10-15 ft lb).
c. 3/8-24 threaded fittings use 14-20 Nm (10-15 ft lb).
NOTE: It is not necessary to energize the anti-lock brake control module electrically to bleed the rear brakes.
4. Perform system brake bleeding procedure.
