Wheel Speed Sensor: Description and Operation
Rear Anti-Lock Brakes (RABS)
DESCRIPTION
The Rear Axle Sensor is a variable reluctance sensor and toothed speed indicator ring used to determine wheel speed.
OPERATION
As the ring teeth pass by reluctance sensor, a pulsing voltage signal is generated. Voltage pulses are directly proportional to rotational wheel
speed.
