Heater Hose: Service and Repair

Heater Water Hoses

Removal and Installation

1.

Drain the coolant from the cooling system. 

2.

Loosen the clamps and remove the heater water hose from the vehicle. 

3.

Route the heater water hose, as shown.

4.

NOTE: All heater water hoses that are installed in service as replacement parts should be made with EPDM and NOMEX as their component
materials. Heater water hoses made from other materials may not be suitable for their particular application.

Connect the heater water hose to the fittings and tighten the clamps to specification. DO NOT overtighten the hose clamps.

5.

Fill and bleed the cooling system.

6.

Check for coolant leaks and for proper operation of the system.
