CALIBRATIONS IS UNAUTHORIZED AND COULD CREATE LIABILITY UNDER APPLICABLE FEDERAL OR LOCAL LAWS.
ISSUE:
Some vehicles may experience a hesitation and/or surge at a cruising speed of about 48-64 km/h (30-40 mph) under a light load condition with the
engine at normal operating temperature. A combination of a high ambient temperature, high humidity and low volatility fuel condition may aggravate the
drive concern.
ACTION:
Use the following service procedure to determine if a new Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with a revised calibration is required. These symptoms can
be improved with a revised PCM.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Perform the diagnostic procedure in the 1995-96 Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Service Manual. Service as required.
