Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

NOTE:  When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control
Module (PCM)  relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.

2. Disconnect electrical connector from Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.

3. Remove intake air temperature sensor.

4. To install, reverse removal procedure. 

5. Connect negative battery cable.
