Air Filter Element: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove engine air cleaner housing. See Air Cleaner Housing / Service and Repair.   See: Service and Repair

2. Pull snap ring on engine air cleaner to separate air cleaner body.

CAUTION:  Do not tamper with the sensing elements located in the mass air bypass of the mass airflow sensor.

3. Remove air cleaner element.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean all inside surfaces of engine air cleaner with a dry clean cloth. 

2. Install air cleaner element.

3. Position engine air cleaner body part and close snap ring.

4. Install engine air cleaner housing.
