Confirm the symptoms of an engine stumble or intermittent highway speed misfire and/or a 1-2 coastdown bump. Check decal to verify vehicle
does not have the latest calibration. Reprogram the PCM using the Service Bay Diagnostic System (SBDS) or New Generation Star (NGS) Tester
to the latest level calibration.

Road test the vehicle and perform the EEC-V Self Test. Confirm there are no DTCs. If any DTCs appear, refer to the 1995 or 1996 Powertrain
Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD II) Service Manual for detailed diagnostic and repair procedures.

For transmission DTCs, repair all non-transmission DTCs first, then proceed and repair the transmission DTCs as outlined in the Transmission
Section of the appropriate Service Manual. If the 2-1 coastdown bump is still present, reprogram the PCM.
