Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Sensor: Description and Operation

Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) Sensor

PURPOSE

The Differential Pressure Feedback (DPFE) EGR sensor converts a varying exhaust pressure signal into a proportional analog voltage which is
digitized by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

 
OPERATION

The PCM uses the signal received from the DPFE sensor to compute the optimum EGR flow.
