TRANSMISSION - 4R44E/4R55E - SCREEN AND GASKET SERVICE KIT - INCORRECT PARTS - SERVICE TIP

LIGHT TRUCK: 
1995-96 EXPLORER, RANGER
1996 AEROSTAR

ISSUE: 
Transmission Screen and Gasket kits (F5TZ-7A098-A and/or F5TZ-7A098-B) contain an incorrect pan-to-case gasket and should not be used when
servicing 4R44E/4R55E transmissions.

ACTION: 
When servicing 4R44E/4R55E transmissions using the Transmission Screen and Gasket kit (F5TZ-7A098-A or F5TZ-7A098-B), a separate pan-to-case
gasket (F5TZ-7A191-A) must be obtained. Failure to use the correct gasket will result in a transmission leak, which it not repaired may cause the
transmission to stop operating. Revised screen and gasket kits will be available soon.
