ISSUE:
Reports have been received of internal engine damage caused by water entering the engine through the air intake system. This condition may occur when
the vehicle is driven in normal wet conditions, such as water splash/spray from other vehicles, or when driven through shallow water. Improvements were
made to the EFI engine air intake systems that have greatly reduced the number of reported incidences.
ACTION:
Dealers should be assured that warranty repairs will be covered unless there Is evidence of owner misuse. This warranty repair policy will remain
effective unless you are notified that a waterproof air intake system has been released.
